Rules and Policies for Rentals

Premises:

The Lodge provides the rented premises is an "AS IS" condition and the Kitchen rental may include such furnishings and equipment as exist as of the time of rental. Renter or Renter's caterer must provide all food, beverages, coffee supplies, dishes, cutlery and paper goods (napkins, paper towels, etc.) used by the Renter for the Renter's event. The Renter may serve beer and wine on the premises; however, hard liquor is prohibited unless provided pursuant to agreement with a licensed alcohol retailer operating under a catering endorsement. Renter may not store alcoholic beverages on the premises before or after the event. The Renter must leave the Lodge in the same or better than it received it (i.e. clean up with garbage dumped and doors locked).

Insurance:

The Lodge of Townsend requires the Renter to:

  • provide proof of insurance at least 24 hours in advance of an event

  • list The Lodge of Townsend as an "additional insured" on insurance policies

  • The Renter may be required to have a "liquor liability" insurance rider

Alcohol:

The Lodge of Townsend allows on-premise service of beer and wine by the Renter or Renters caterer upon:

  • The Renter or Renter's caterer must obtain any permits required by local, county or state ordinance

  • obtaining event or other insurance with coverage for alcohol liability

  • listing The Lodge of Townsend as an "additional insured" on insurance policies

  • providing proof of insurance no later than 23 hours in advance of the event

  • in the event of hard liquor the Renter or Renter's caterer or alocohol retailer must have designated and properly trained servers

Indeminification:

The Renter shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Lodge of Townsend, its successors and assigns, its directors, officers, employees and agents (each a "Lodge Indemnitee") from and against any and all liabilities, damages, losses, settlements, claims, allegations, actions, suits, penalties, fines, costs, or expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorney fees) incurred by or asserted against any Lodge Indemnitee of whatever kind or nature to the extent arising from or occuring as a result of:

  • breach of any of Renter's representations, warranties or covenants set forth in the Agreement

  • violation by the Renter of any law, statute, ordinance or regulation as a result of its performance under the Agreement

  • personal injury, death or property damage caused by The Renter, its employees, representatives or agents as a result of their use of The Lodge of Townsend under the Agreement

Cancellation:

Deposit Checks may be refundable if The Lodge of Townsend receives notice of cancellation at least 7 days prior to the rental date.

Rules and Policies for Lodge Setups/Takedowns

The Assembly Hall / Club Room

  • Empty the garbage cans (the dumpster is in the alley behind the building, next to the City Shop)

  • Wipe, fold and store the tables in the closet in the Assembly Hall

  • Store the chairs in the closet in the Assembly Hall

  • Sweep the floors if needed

  • Turn off all the lights

  • Lock the doors

  • Send a text to Tina at 406.360.4408, when you are finished

The Kitchen

  1. Empty the garbage cans

  2. Wipe and disinfect all countertops and stove

  3. Wipe out the oven

  4. Wash and put away the dishes used and rinse the sink

  5. Sweep and mop the floors if needed

  6. Turn of all the lights, except the vent hood (it will turn off automatically)

  7. Lock the doors when you leave the building

  8. Send a text to Tina at 406.360.4408, when you are finished
